Dr. Dorothy Esangbedo
She is a member of the Executive Committee and Standing Committee of the International Pediatric Association (IPA), the immediate Past President of the Union of National African Paediatric Societies and Associations (UNAPSA) and a past President of the Paediatric Association of Nigeria (PAN). She is a graduate of the Medical College of the University of Ibadan Nigeria with Fellowship training in Paediatric Endocrinology at Children’s Mercy Hospital, Kansas City, Missouri, USA. She serves on Nigeria’s National Expert Committee on Adverse Events following Immunization, and in the Immunization Technical Advisory Group (NGI-TAG). A past Chairman of the Gavi CSO Constituency Steering Committee, she currently represents CSOs at the WHO Strategic Advisory Group of Experts on Immunization meetings in Geneva. Her Awards of recognition include the 10th Rare Gem Award 2014 for Outstanding contributions to Millennium Development Goal 4 and the AfriBaby Award 2014 for contributions to childcare in Africa.
