Dr. Nestor Sosa
Dr. Nestor Sosa is an Infectious Diseases (I.D.), Internal Medicine specialist trained at the University of Miami School of Medicine. He was Chief of the I.D. Department at the Social Security Hospital in Panama City and for the last ten years he has been the General Director of the Gorgas Memorial Institute, one of the most important and prestigious public health research facility in the Central America. As a researcher, Dr. Sosa has worked in HIV/AIDS, Leishmaniasis and more recently in emerging arboviral diseases. He has participated as an advisor to the WHO Geographical Yellow Fever Risk Mapping Group.
